Do the reminders actually show up?
That's the whole point. Pacio pulls your pickup day from your city's official schedule, shifts it automatically on holiday weeks, and sends the reminder from our server — so it doesn't quietly stop working if your phone changes. One reminder, the night before, on the right day.
Does Pacio really check for recalls?
Yes, and it's free for everyone. Add the make and model of your appliances, and Pacio checks official U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recall data and tells you if anything you own is recalled — so a dangerous defect doesn't sit in your home unnoticed. (Pacio isn't affiliated with the CPSC; always verify on CPSC.gov.)
Is Pacio free?
Yes. Pickup reminders, holiday adjustments, and core safety tasks are free for everyone, supported by banner ads. Premium ($2.99/mo. or $24.99/yr.) removes ads and unlocks the full 300+ task home maintenance library.
Which cities are supported?
Pacio works in all 50 states. We pull your pickup schedule directly from your city's official data when it's available. If your city isn't connected yet, you can enter your pickup days manually — and we'll automatically upgrade you when your city comes online.
What about holidays?
Most US cities shift pickups by one day the week of a federal holiday. Pacio handles this automatically. If your city doesn't shift (some West Coast haulers don't), you can turn the adjustment off in Account Settings.
How does the home maintenance library work?
Tell Pacio what's in your house — furnace, water heater, dryer, smoke alarms, etc. — and we'll build a personalized maintenance schedule based on the manufacturer-recommended cycle for each item. Premium unlocks the full library including plumbing, electrical, and seasonal inspections.
Do you sell my data?
No. Pacio doesn't sell your data, share it with advertisers (beyond Google AdMob's standard ad-serving in the free tier), or pass it to data brokers. Premium subscribers see no ads and no ad-related data collection. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
How do I cancel Premium?
Open Google Play Store → your account → Subscriptions → Pacio → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Premium until then. See our Terms of Service §3 for the full subscription policy.
What if my pickup is wrong?
Open the app, tap your trash or recycling card, and edit your schedule. If you correct an auto-detected day, Pacio remembers your fix and stops auto-correcting that pickup. We also use anonymized corrections to improve accuracy for everyone in your city.
