Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Pacio collects, why, and what you can do about it. It's written to be readable. Where we had to use a technical term, we explain it.
1. Who we are
Pacio ("we", "us", "our") is an Android app that reminds you about garbage and recycling pickup and tracks home maintenance. Contact:

2. What we collect and why
We only collect what the app needs to work. Here's the full list:

We do not collect: precise GPS location, contacts, phone number, browsing history, microphone or camera data outside of the optional photo upload, health data, financial data, advertising identifier beyond what AdMob requires for ads (see below).
3. Who we share with
Pacio uses the following third-party services. Each only gets the data it needs to do its job.

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketers beyond the AdMob ad-serving integration in the free version.
4. Where your data lives
Data is stored on Google Firebase servers in the United States. If you're located outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US.
5. How long we keep data
- Account data (email, address, equipment, pickup schedule): kept until you delete your account.
- Crash and error logs: kept for 90 days, then deleted.
- Anonymous crowdsource data (aggregate schedule corrections by city, not tied to your identity): kept indefinitely to improve accuracy for everyone.
6. Your rights
You can do any of these at any time:
- Access your data — email us at support@pacioapp.com and we'll send you everything we have on you within 30 days.
- Correct your data — edit your address or equipment in the app's Account Settings.
- Delete your account and all data — use the "Delete Account" option in Account Settings, or email us at support@pacioapp.com. Deletion removes your Firebase account, all documents tied to you, and your stored photos within 30 days.
- Export your data — email us and we'll send a JSON file of your account data.
- Object to processing — email us.
If you're in the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), or a state with similar privacy laws, the rights above apply to you. You can also file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
Pacio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, email us at support@pacioapp.com and we'll delete it immediately.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data:
- Passwords are hashed by Firebase Authentication (we never see the plaintext).
- All data in transit uses HTTPS/TLS.
- Firestore security rules restrict access to your own data.
- Firebase App Check blocks abusive clients.
- Admin access to our backend is limited and requires Google account authentication with 2-factor.
No system is 100% secure. If a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you by email within 72 hours as required by applicable law.
9. Advertising (free tier only)
The free version of Pacio shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your advertising ID and approximate location to show relevant ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android device settings under Privacy → Ads.
Premium subscribers see no ads and no ad-related data is collected.
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version at pacioapp.com/privacy-policy and update the "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we'll also notify you inside the app or by email.
